Pumpkin Spice Porridge

Since Autumn is all about warmth and coziness, you may find yourself wanting something hassle-free in the mornings. Porridge may seem like the answer to this wish, and you can literally spice it up with autumn flavors by putting a pumpkin spice spin on your usual bland bowl. Rice cooker review site We Know Rice features Aroma rice cookers that are ideal for slow cooking any porridge that you fancy. You can swap out oats for any other nutritious whole grain, and play with different textures for the same flavorful result. These ingredients, adapted from It Doesn’t Taste Like Chicken, can be easily prepared in a rice cooker for a no-recipe recipe and be kept warm so you can curl up in bed for an extra few minutes. 2/3 cup rolled outs (or other grains of choice) 1 cup non-dairy milk (and more for drizzling) 1/4 cup pitted and chopped dates 1/3 cup pumpkin puree 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extra Maple syrup and pecans for topping It's as easy as throwing the ingredients into the rice cooker and letting it run for one or two rice cycles, depending on the texture you'd like on your porridge.
